TLG is a Christian charity that helps churches bring hope and a future for struggling children. One of they ways they do this is through a programme of Early Intervention. The programme enables trained volunteers to become coaches and work on a one-to-one basis with children – one coach, one child, one week.

When asked to create the first set of primary resources to support the original programme, it was an opportunity to create child friendly style of simple illustrations to engage with primary children, who were struggling in school for all kinds of reasons.

So great was the success of the Early Intervention programme that it was taken into the secondary age group. This new collection of resources was split into a selection of booklets, each one being an inclusive project. To maintain a cohesive yet eclectic design solution within the range, a vibrant and fresh colour palette was established for each booklet. A distinctive and instructive tone of voice and an expressive, fun and accessible style of illustration was created for the diagram lead content to connect with this target age range.
